About The Frackle Gardener Blog

Day 2 clearing nicely

The Frackle Gardener is a project – or a project and a half… a challenge we set ourselves to create something wonderful.

We’re a family of 5 gardening novices who have fiddled about with the odd potato and a spurious chilli or two, but who have always aspired to something bigger and better.

Somewhere we can learn how to grow all the things we love to eat, plus a few we don’t, but that we like the sound of!

We consist of Mr & Mrs Frackle Gardener and Frackle 1, 2 and 3 who bring their own individual style and ideas to this concept of “back to nature”. Mrs & Mrs FG think they know a thing or two but truth be told, you’d be hard pressed to uncover evidence of such, especially since the “carrot seed incident” and the current lack of any real plan in terms of layout.

Frackle 1, 2 & 3 bring sorely needed effort, passion & imaginative planting suggestions to the mix.

Follow us along the way (and the ups, downs and U-turns) as we learn all about the very unique and specific community that is allotment gardening in beautiful South Bucks.
